Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to London this week. That's right; she's returning to the homeland of many of her exes. But it isn't a Tom Hiddleston, Harry Styles, or even Joe Alwyn appearance that's on my mind right now. Instead, as Swift prepares to take over the British capital, I can't help but wonder: What on earth are the royals making of Swiftmania? Will any of the royal family don a friendship bracelet? Who will show up in their Eras Tour finest? Are any of the royals secret Swifties?
It's not hard to imagine the royals blasting out Tay Tay in their spare time. Maybe they rock out to "Cruel Summer" during their holidays at Balmoral. I could see Kate and Will belting out the line "You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess" from "Love Story" on the dance floor at their wedding. And the royal corgis definitely enjoy bopping around to "Shake It Off."
Naturally, after this thought experiment, I had to find out. So, which royals are the biggest Swifties? Read on for some very serious (pretend) investigative work on who may or may not show up to the Eras Tour.
Queen Camilla

I don't think Queen Camilla is a very big Swiftie. In fact, I honestly cannot imagine her naming a single song. However, we do know she's a Bridgerton fan, so perhaps that instrumental version of "Wildest Dreams" has snuck onto a playlist or two.
King Charles

As an avid classical music fan and patron of the arts, King Charles has probably never listened to Taylor Swift—at least not on purpose. However, if he were to give her a chance, I'm willing to bet he'd be a convert. After all, the monarch has previously spoken about his love of "a chap called Leonard Cohen."
“The orchestration is fantastic and the lyrics and everything," said the British royal. "He’s a remarkable man. He has this incredibly laid-back, gravelly voice. Terrific stuff.”
Honestly, Charles, just give Folklore a chance—we know you'll love it.
Kate Middleton

I imagine Kate Middleton is a fair-weather Taylor Swift fan. Born in 1982, she was just a little too old to get into Swift at school—her younger sister is probably another story, but more on that later.
Let's face it: Kate is probably more into the Spice Girls (who, incidentally, received an invite to the princess's wedding) than Taylor Swift. And to that, I add, why not both?
Pippa Middleton

A year younger than Kate, Pippa Middleton almost grew up in the peak Taylor Swift years—but not quite. Like many older Millennials, she is most likely happy to dance along to "Shake It Off" at a wedding. And, of course, she probably knows all the words to "Blank Space." But I'm going to go out on a limb and say she is less familiar with the deep cuts.

Fergie is down with the kids. I mean... the ex-wife of Prince Andrew writes Bridgerton-style romance novels, for goodness sake! I would certainly not be surprised if she is also a fan of those schmaltzy string quartet Tay Tay covers. I would peg her as more of a moderate Swiftie than a die-hard fan.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie

These two Millennial sisters are basically the exact same age as Taylor, so my guess is that they are 100% certified Swifties. They (probably) grew up blasting Taylor Swift from their CD players. Their favorite era is (probably) 1989. Last year, when Beatrice happened to cross paths with Tay Tay and her girl squad in Manhattan, she (probably) fangirled over the encounter for days.
As such, Princesses Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are Eras Tour frontrunners.
Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte is a nine-year-old girl. She is a major Swiftie. Next.
Prince Harry

Meghan Markle is a Swiftie—it's well-documented. And what Meghan loves, Harry loves. This good husband is, by proxy, a big Swiftie.

Meghan Markle is a Swiftie—and I'm willing to bet she's been a fan for years. In fact, when she attended the Eras Tour in Los Angeles (because, of course, she did), she allegedly leaped out of her seat to sing along to "You Belong With Me" from the Fearless era.
Clearly, she's an OG who's been listening since 2008. In fact, when Taylor sings the line "Salute to me, I'm your American queen," I bet she feels seen. As a proud feminist, Markle was definitely inspired when Taylor announced her intention to re-record her old albums and take back ownership of her music. She even reportedly asked the pop star to appear on her short-lived podcast in a handwritten letter. (Miss Swift politely declined, but here's to hoping it happens someday.)
Prince William

I know what you're thinking—William? The biggest royal Swiftie?! Yes. And I have the proof.
First thing first: Today is Will's birthday. (He doesn't know about you, but he's feeling 42.) It is also the first day of the Eras Tour in London. And what did the Royal family do? They post a clip of the Buckingham Palace military band doing a surprise rendition of "Shake It Off" on X.
As for my next piece of evidence, allow me to present you with this iconic 2013 video of William absolutely belting out "Livin' On a Prayer" alongside Jon Bon Jovi and, yes, Miss Swift herself—one might even call them "Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince."
Utterly iconic. I fully expect to see him, arms bedecked in friendship bracelets, singing at the top of his lungs as Swift brings the Eras Tour to London this weekend. You heard it here first.
