Demi Lovato is getting cool for the summer. Weeks after stars like Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Sydney Sweeney, and Jennifer Aniston debuted chin and shoulder-grazing chops, the “Heart Attack” singer put her own spin on the season’s hottest hair trend. In an Instagram Story post shared on Friday, April 26, Lovato showed off a significantly shorter bob and a lighter hair color ahead of the warmer months.

It was a major change for the “I Love Me” star, who has been rocking jet black hair, either in long waves or in a punk lob style hitting her collarbone, as of late. At the Oscars Vanity Fair after party, she showed off mermaid-esque extensions that went all the way down to her waist. With the changing of seasons, the Disney alum decided to debut a spring transformation, coloring her hair a warm light brown and adding subtle golden caramel highlights throughout. In a fresh-faced selfie shared on her Instagram Story, Lovato showed off her “before” and “after,” tagging hairstylist Amber Maynard in the photo. It also looked like she opted to get one of her shortest chops yet, as her hair barely reached her chin, showing off her butterfly tattoo on her neck.
