Kate Middleton and Prince William's Romantic Moment at 2024 Trooping the Colour

Today, Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis, and her husband, Prince William, was by her side the entire time. On Saturday morning, the royal couple stepped out together for the first time in six months at the 2024 Trooping the Colour, and looked more in love than ever before as they stood side by side on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. 

In photos and video footage captured from the event, William, at one point, could be seen giving his wife a sweet nudge during the military flypast, before the Princess of Wales gazed adoringly at him with a huge smile on her face. William returned Middleton's romantic glance as he leaned close. 

William and Kate were joined by their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who all coordinated in navy, nautical-inspired outfits for the occasion—as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Until yesterday, it was unclear whether Middleton would attend this year's Trooping the Colour. But in a new statement regarding her ongoing health journey, the princess shared that she was "looking forward" to being at the King's birthday parade.

"My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home," she wrote alongside a new photo of herself on Instagram. "I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

She concluded, "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal. C"
