Prince William may be heir to the British throne, but at heart, he really is just another goofy dad. First, he was spotted rocking out to "Shake It Off" at the Eras Tour alongside his eldest kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte last month—he may not have the best moves, but being a Swiftie undoubtedly won him some serious dad points. And his dad antics don't stop there. Yesterday, the royal, who celebrated his 42nd birthday last month, was spotted at Windsor Castle zipping around the grounds on an electric scooter.

The moment was captured in a fan video that has since been uploaded to TikTok. In the video, William can be seen wearing a blue sweater and black sunglasses as he grips onto the handle bars and zooms across the grounds near the castle.
Royal fans were, understandably, suitably bemused by his unusual choice of transportation. "What a chill dude," one wrote. Another chimed in, "Why is this so funny. William is hilarious."
The future king casually zipping around royal grounds on an electric scooter is something we never thought we'd see, but there you have it—it seems William really is on a mission to modernise the monarchy, one scooter at a time.

Although William's most recent appearances see him scooting around Windsor Castle and bopping to Taylor Swift, he has had a notably difficult year. His wife, Princess Catherine, has been undergoing cancer treatment and has only made one public appearance at last month's Trooping of the Colour. "I think they are going through hell," one friend of the family said to The Telegraph in May, referring to the difficulties caused by Kate's treatment. Nevertheless, another source reported that as a result the pair are "closer than ever.” William has also been under additional strain as his father, King Charles, also undergoes cancer treatment.
