See Kate Middleton's 2024 Father's Day Post for William

Just hours after making her first official appearance of the year at the Trooping of the Colour, Kate  Middleton’s family was on her mind as she rang in Father’s Day with a rare social media post. The Princess of Wales took to Instagram on Sunday, June 16 to share a photo she’d taken of Prince William and her kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis during a beach day – and her caption was a sweet shout-out to her husband.

“We love you, Papa,” Princess Kate captioned the Instagram post, which was shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official account. In the photo, which she revealed she’d taken this year, the dad-of-three could be seen wearing olive green shorts, a dark blue hoodie, and a baseball cap as he wrapped his arm around his children while they all stood in the sand. Princess Charlotte, who was on his left, wore a light blue sweatshirt with jean shorts, while Prince Louis and Prince George wore blue polos on Prince William’s right side. Prince William and his kids faced away from the camera, looking out at the ocean.

“Happy Father’s Day,” she continued, signing it “G, C & L” for her kids’ names.
Princess Kate’s Father’s Day shout-out for Prince William comes shortly after she gave fans the first update on her health on social media since announcing she was undergoing treatment for cancer in May.

Alongside a solo photo of her wearing a beige blazer and dark jeans while posing by a tree, the Princess of Wales said that she was “blown away” by all the messages of support she’d received while opening up about the “good days and bad days” she’d experienced while going through treatment.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she said. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

Princess Kate also revealed that she had a few months of treatment left, and hoped to join a few more public engagements during the summer, as well as the Trooping of the Colour.

“On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” she wrote.
