Vanessa Hudgens Welcomed Her First Child

Vanessa Hudgens is officially a mom. 

On Wednesday, several outlets confirmed that the High School Musical alum and her husband Cole Tucker welcomed their first child together—and while neither Hudgens nor Tucker commented on the news, they were spotted leaving the hospital in Santa Monica with their newborn in tow.  Coincidentally, the news of the baby's arrival broke on Tucker's 28th birthday. However, it's not known when exactly the child was born, or if it's a boy or girl.  

Back in March, Hudgens first announced she was pregnant in a bump-hugging gown on the red carpet at the 2024 Oscars. She debuted her growing belly while wearing a black long-sleeved dress with a turtleneck and a long train, before changing into a completely sheer gown that exposed her underwear at the after-party.

Hudgens's baby news came after she and husband Cole Tucker tied the knot in December 2023 in Tulum, Mexico. They got engaged ten months earlier and first started dating in May 2021 after meeting on a Zoom meditation group hosted by Jay Shetty during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Ahead of their wedding, Hudgens revealed that she knew Tucker was "the one" almost immediately while speaking with Today. “After our first weekend together, I called my sister and was like, ‘I think I just found my future husband,'” she recalled at the time, adding their engagement has given her newfound "sense of security." She continued, "You feel so safe. It’s the best thing ever. I love being a fiancée.”
